Slider Control Alternative in After Effects

In one of my previous videos, I showed you how to add commas to numbers using a simple slider. As you might already know, sliders do have a limit.

Unfortunately, sliders only allow us to go up to 1,000,000. That is a problem.

A lot of you have been asking me for a some kind of alternative to a slider that does not have a limit.

There are a number of different things we can do to solve this problem, however, in this quick tutorial, I will show you the quickest solution to this problem. Let go!

So, instead of using a Slider Control like we did in the previous video,

this time we need to click on the Point Control.

Essentially, Point Control is a slider. You just get two of them instead of one.

So now instead of using a slider, I am going to replace the slider for one of these.

As you can see, the number on the screen is set to our slider, which is 960.

We can now adjust the slider and set keyframes without any limits. Which means, we can go as high as we want!

I hope you found this tip useful!
