This post will show you how to quickly find and replace one or multiple text layers in Adobe After Effects. Let’s dive right in!
For this example, I have a simple setup, as always. I have six text layers, six shape layers, and a simple striped background.
Find and Replace Text
First, I want to replace the UKRAMEDIA text with the UKRAMEDIA.COM. I want to do that for every single text layer in my composition.
I only have six text layers in my composition, so it will not take long for me to change each one of them manually, however, what if I had twenty or a hundred text layers in my project? It would take a long time to change them manually. So let me show you the quickest way to replace text in Adobe After Effects.
Click on your timeline and use the Select All keyboard shortcut CTRL+A on a PC or CMD+A on a Mac.
Go to File – Scripts – Find and Replace Text.jsx.
Type UKRAMEDIA in the Find Text field of the Find and Replace Text pop-up panel. By the way, the Find and Replace Text feature is case sensitive.
Click Find All and all of the UKRAMEDIA text layers will be selected and highlighted in the timeline.
Type UKRAMEDIA.COM in the Replacement Text field to replace UKRAMEDIA and all of the text layers will chang to UKRAMEDIA.COM in the composition.
