In this post, you will learn two different methods of how to delete all effects from selected layers in Adobe After Effects. Let’s dive right in!
Alright, so here we are in Adobe After Effects and for this example, I have a lot of
Ukramedia logos in my composition.
As you might notice, all of my logos have different colors. They all have different colors because I applied the hue and saturation effect on every single layer.
Now I want to delete the hue and saturation effect from all of my layers. Let me show you a few options.
Delete All Effects from Selected Layers
Next, let’s get rid of every single effect from every layer selected. One way to do it is by using the keyboard shortcut E to reveal all effects in your timeline.
Then highlight all the layers or select all of them and hit delete on your keyboard. Pressing delete will get rid of all the effects.
That’s one way to do it, but there’s a much quicker and more efficient way of deleting effects in After Effects. Let me show you!
Faster Way Deleting Effects
All you have to do is press CTRL+A on a PC or CMD+A on a Mac and select all your layers.
You can also select your layers one by one and then apply the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+E on a PC or CMD+SHIFT+E on a Mac. As you do that, it will get rid of every single effect from your selected layers on your timeline. That simple!
